Looking for some fun Christmas activities to do with your family? I’ve got you covered.
It is no secret that I LOVE Christmas and anything to do in order to make my home feel warm and cozy.
Christmas is the best time of the year but sometimes it is so easy to become consumed with all the places to go, gifts to buy, and all of the other things that come with Christmas. Let’s be honest. The new things and excitement is what makes the holidays special.
It’s easy to forget to slow down and enjoy this time with the people that matter most to us. I can tell you that now looking back to my childhood the things I remember most are the fun times we spent doing things together as a family.
The laughing and smiles as we sat around a show or playing a board game long into the night. The huge meals many gifts and were all well and good but not what I remember as a kid.
The season does not have to be full of to-do’s instead, slow down and fill this season with the things that fill your house with smiles and giggles. Because those are the best Christmas activities.

Family Cookie Baking
I LOVED to bake cookies and desserts but decorating them as my favorite. It brought Christmas to life right before my eyes. Before you make a list of desserts to bake a mile long. Ask every person if they could have one desert what would it be. Then try to stick to those first.
If you are making people bake food they don’t like you won’t get too much cooperation. And remember mammas you set the mood for your family so give lots of grace in the kitchen. It is far better to take two hours to bake one batch of cookies and have a blast doing it. Then to have 5 beautiflly made desserts and your kids in tears.
Below are some seasonal cookie recipes.

This was something my family did for years and we loved it no matter how old we got. Even after I was married we still try to set a day we can do it together. Even if it is just to find little trinkets for stocking stuffers.
- Find a Christmas play to attend at your local church.
- Boardgames!!!
- Decorate the Christmas tree together.
- Go on a hike to find decor that natur leaves behind. Like pincones, nuts, and fallen branches.
Remember that it is not the price tag that has your kids remembering the Christmases that had with you. It’s the laughter and joy that comes from doing fun things together.
So if the budget is tight don’t let that keep you from having a special Christmas.
